Have a Tesla with an OFF-CENTER Steering Wheel? Here's how to fix it
Переглядів 21 тис.Рік тому
Is your steering wheel not pointing straight, but the car drives fine? Teslas are notorious for having poor factory alignments, try this if your car otherwise drives straight but needs the wheel adjusted. Work slow and carefully, and the vehicle's toe alignment should remain unchanged, with the added benefit of a centered steering wheel.

Our 2019 Ioniq EV charged flawlessly at the V3 Supercharger in Hancock, NY. The magic dock is wonderful! Peak rate was 66kW - this car will do 72kW when it's warm out, and charges extremely fast as a result since the battery is only 28kWh. I'm pleased with the performance and build quality of these chargers. The adapter is very solid in the hand.

      When all 3 are plugged in and charging the maximum amount for each wall connector is 24 amps. (Or whatever that is in mi/hr!) :-) If one car stops charging the other 2 will bump up to a maximum of 36A each. (72A network total)

From what I've read it is the 7 pin plug at the rear hitch that no longer outputs the12 V Auxiliary power to a trailer that is being towed nor does it supply voltage to the pin that powers the trailers electric brakes since Tesla switched over to using 16V 7Ah low voltage lithium batteries (circa Dec 2021)

    • @fiehlsport
      @fiehlsport Місяць тому

      In that scenario, a 100A circuit feeding a subpanel would need to be protected by an 80A current limit you'd set in the Wall Connector software. So both would charge at 40A simultaneously.

    • @fiehlsport
      @fiehlsport 2 місяці тому

      That is likely the RO membrane you’re referring to. Is it low pressure, or a trickle? If it’s a super slow trickle, it’s probably the blue stem not being pressed up far enough to enable full flow. (Old filter scenario) Otherwise it’s possible the RO membrane is clogged but I don’t know enough about it to say if that’s even feasible. They usually last many years.

    • @fiehlsport

      Correct, the standard Gen3 wall connectors cannot be wired to the same circuit. (Per the manual) However, the new universal connector allows you to daisy chain the wiring so two or more can share a single breaker, and you would configure power share in the same way.

    • @fiehlsport

      Energy logging is not great, at present. You would probably have to get some sort of third party energy monitor (Emporia Vue?) to clamp onto the feeders in the electrical panel to measure how much power your neighbor's wall connector consumes. Tesla does log each charging session in the Tesla app when the wall connectors are added, but you can't export the totals very well. It's clunky right now.

    Just out of curiosity because I have M3 myself: how's the steering? In my case the steering is incredibly stiff even in comfort mode, so much that the car can't be turned with just one arm. Tesla says it's normal, I severly doubt it. This is why I am asking some Tesla youtubers.

    • @fiehlsport
      @fiehlsport 2 місяці тому

      Teslas have always had overly stiff steering, even in Comfort. It's absurd. Though I have heard of a few cases on the TMC forums where users compared their cars' steering to a new one on the lot, and got a new steering rack because theirs was much stiffer than a new car's. Worth a shot if you're near a service center.

Tesla found nothing wrong and even gaslighted me ("You consider THIS stiff...?"). Up to this day the steering feels different everyday. What baffles me was the sudden change, I can't help but think of a defect.

    • @fiehlsport
      @fiehlsport 3 місяці тому

      The RO membrane should be unaffected. By extending the interval of the pre-filter, you would only negatively impact the flow - it would not let more particulates through if you used it for longer than recommended. Worst that can happen is your pre-filter clogs up. It still protects the RO Membrane. Thanks for watching

    • @fiehlsport
